Fellows of R&S (not excluding females): What do you think about this new Thomas Jefferson quote?

I don't agree with either. Style trends are determined by people who don't swim with the current, and I've been wrong before on "matters of principle." If we all believe absolutely that we're right, most of us will continue to be wrong most of the time.
