Why do my legs swell up after bee and mosquito bites?

I got stung by four yellow jackets at once, two on each leg in the same place, and four other mosquito bites on my legs. my legs and ankles are all swollen and i got kankles from it. it itches a lot to.is there any stuff i can put on it to reduce the swelling?
