What type of bug has long antennae?

i have been itching up a storm lately and i was scared it was fleas. i set out a bowl or soapy water under a nightlight to see if i killed any fleas (it's a surefire way to kill them) to see if it was fleas biting me... i killed multiple of a small insect with long antennae. they were large enough for me to see, but not get any specific definition. it was grey and about the size of a grain of rice. its antennae are about the length of its body, and it bites. what is it and how can i kill it?
