I am trying soooo hard to find out the name of a song. i am thinking it is from the eighties. it has a ve?

i think it is from the eighties. it has a long instrumental at the end. i hear it a lot of classic rock stations. not hard rock, but i wouldn't actually call it soft rock either. i am kind of wanting to say foreigner, journey, jefferson starship, maybe eagles. i always come in on the end instrumental part and then never hear the title or artist. help. it is driving me crazy. check benny mardonis, into the night, and that is not it.
